SnaptureLabs has introduced SnaptureFlash which they advertise as “The world’s first xenon flash attachment for a mobile phone.” The add on provides a flash for the iPhone which is supposedly 100 times brighter than any conventional LED flash accessory.

SnaptureFlash includes red eye reduction and is fully compatible with SnaptureLab’s other iPhone apps. Other features include a continuous ultra bright LED for video recording, iPhone speaker amplification, and a sleek design that fits firmly around the iPhone.

The add on can also detect low light situations where it will automatically trigger the flash. Overall this seems like a very useful attachment, especially as the iPhone is becoming a popular camera alternative on sites such as Flickr. The flash was one thing lacking on the iPhone, and the SnaptureFlash provides all the power you would ever need to take that perfect shot.

Snapture is currently allowing people to sign up on a waitlist for the product, but there has been no projected release date.
