Pandora, the popular free radio streaming service can now be used on select Windows Mobile handsets.

The announcement on the Pandora website states that the service will only work with the HTC XV6900 and Motorola Q9C. All the features of Pandora on the web are also present on the mobile version. Users can sign in with their existing Pandora IDs and are able to access all of their currently saved stations. If you do not have an account you can input a song or artist that you like and it will still stream the music for free.

Pandora on the iPhone has been a huge hit with over 2 million downloads of the application from the Apps Store, so it is predicted that Pandora will also be very popular with users of Windows Mobile handsets. The application for the device is free, just simply go to www.pandora.com and the service will start on the phone.

Pandora is a totally free site that only requires quick registration. All you have to do after that is make a station according to a song you like, and then songs similar to that one will play. The song accuracy is very high since the results are based off of their Music Genome Project. While the songs play, you can say whether you like them or not by clicking either an up or down thumb. This saves the information for future music you may like. Pandora also has the option to add multiple songs to a station further increasing its accuracy. I recommend spending 30 minutes a day to vote on the songs, within the week the station will consistently be playing music you like.

For a small subscription fee you can play music nonstop and get other member benefits. I personally am not one, but the free service fits me just fine. I highly recommend visiting Pandora if you have never been before, you will enjoy it.

Pandora can also be used on the iPod Touch which increases its versatility, enabling people to listen to free music anywhere there is internet access.
